The Faroese Boat – boatbuilding, traditions and use

It was relied upon when fishing, hunting and in transportation between the islands. The Faroese boat is not as important anymore, and today it is mostly used in rowing competitions and other leisure activities. But Faroese boats are still being built, and the beautiful boats still play an important part in Faroese culture.
